Overview

Brightview Senior Living is hiring in Port Jefferson, NY! We're looking or an Assisted Living Director to join the team at Brightview Port Jefferson.

It is important to note that the Assisted Living Director will report to the community's Executive Director. The ALD will work closely with the internal leadership team, including our Health Services Director (DON), and our external partners to oversee and guarantee that our Assisted Living residents' needs are not only met, but delivered with vibrancy.


Responsibilities

In this role, you will select, build, coach and supervise a team of passionate, engaging and high quality Medication Technicians (MedTechs) and Resident Assistants (RA's) who are responsible for providing the Assisted Daily Living Services (ADL's) to our residents. Through your leadership, you will hold the team accountable for meeting all mission, quality, safety and other performance standards.

  • Lead your team with vibrancy! Our ALDs play a key role in training our caregivers to be the best and help them flourish at Brightview.
  • You will develop, monitor, and adjust work schedules to ensure adequate staffing to meet our Brightview service standards.
  • Build relationships with residents and their families. We are all a circle of support.
  • Conduct routine rounds of the community, participate in initial and ongoing resident assessments to help identify needs and changes in condition.
  • Assist in the development of the Resident Care Plans.
  • Embrace being part of the community's leadership team.
  • Participate in a weekend Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation to ensure that our associates, residents and families have support even on weekends.

Salary Range

USD $70,000.00 - USD $78,000.00 /Yr.

Compensation Disclosure

The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.


Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in a health care, social science, or business discipline and a minimum of three years' experience working in a health care, senior living, or strong service environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a 24 x 7 environment.
    • You are passionate about caring for people and have experience in an Assisted Living or similar environment.
    • Our Caregivers at this community are great! We're looking for someone who will continue educating the team and always focus on team building.
    • You're able to work in a fast paced environment with multiple competing demands for time and attention.
