Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Cardiology Clinic team. The CMA will support cardiologists in providing high-quality care to patients with heart conditions, assisting with both clinical and administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone with excellent organizational skills who enjoys working directly with patients in a fast-paced, specialized environment.

  • Rooming Patients:

    • Greet and prepare patients for their appointments.
    • Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, weight, etc.).
    • Accurately document patient history, medications, and any concerns or symptoms in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Clinical Support:

    • Assist cardiologists and other providers as needed.
    • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
  • Patient Communication:

    • Educate patients on procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
    • Communicate test results and instructions to patients as directed by the provider.
    • Handle patient inquiries via phone and secure messaging.
  • Administrative Duties:

    • Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and referrals to other specialists as needed.
    • Maintain accurate and organized patient records.

Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant, current national certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or apprenticeship.
  • Prior work experience in Cardiology or other specialty clinic preferred, but not required.
  • BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
