Job Description:

The Collections Manager for our CCA (Caribbean Central America) Organization Oversees and manages all aspects of the credit organization including the activities associated with credit underwriting approvals, AR reconciliation and collection efforts, establishing new accounts, audit compliance, and credit operations.

Continually looks to enhance systems and processes to create higher levels of efficiency and customer service throughout the organization.

Selects, trains, and guides a staff in all aspects for the position.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage collections in the recovery of potential losses.

  • Work closely with Sales Management and Customers to negotiate appropriate financing.

  • Ability to Prepare and present credit risk analysis for customers.

  • Strategic Initiatives

  • Work with department head and other managers to improve processes.

  • Participate with IT development team to implement Credit and Collections Projects.

  • Identify and facilitate transfer of processes to China and/or Philippines as appropriate.

  • Makes recommendations to senior management regarding all credit related processes.

  • Implements policies and procedures.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior management team in other areas/departments within the organization.

  • Compliance Oversight

  • Assist Internal Audit with SOX compliance review.

  • Reviews CM/DM Requisitions

  • Review and execute various process forms.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX guidelines.

  • Manages collection and/or credit activities associated with establishing collections procedures.

  • Analyzes accounts receivable and assesses the aging of accounts.

  • Manage Discrepancies to ensure resolved timely.

  • Review sales orders for override release.

  • Staff Management/Leadership

  • Conduct meetings with Supervisors/Team on a regular basis

  • Give one on one coaching to direct reports in order to build knowledge and experience in preparation for career progression.

  • Actively establish a succession plan.

  • Performs other additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:
  • Degree in Finance; Administration, Accounting or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

  • 3+ Years of relevant work experience.

  • 3+ Years of experience directly managing / supervising employees

  • Proficient in English (level B2 or higher) required.

  • Execute instructions and request clarification when needed.

  • Demonstrate complex problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.

  • Attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Interact effectively with higher levels of management.

  • Understand all credit procedures and communicate professionally with customers.

  • Analyze financial statements and interpret credit reports.

  • Understand business models and their impact on performance and profitability.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Find financing solutions that facilitate sales while managing risk.

  • Work on problems of diverse scope and exercise judgment in selecting solutions.

  • Manage diverse responsibilities and make credit-related decisions independently.

  • Ensure staff follows procedures and acts within given authority.

  • Manage and mentor a team, typically with 3 or more direct reports.

Other Education/Certifications:
  • Certifications: MBA; Six Sigma; Team Management; Project Management desired.

Working Conditions:
  • Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.

  • On-call availability required as necessary.

  • May be required to work in shifts (timings subject to business needs)

  • Professional, office environment.

  • Remote / Work-from-home.

  • Global travel required.
