Job Description

The Company is seeking a transformational and accomplished leader to serve as Vice President, Fulfillment. Reporting to the President, this critical role will lead the domestic supply chain operations, driving strategies to improve forecasting accuracy, ensure optimal fill rates, logistics operational efficiency and enhance cash flow management. Responsible for overseeing warehousing and domestic freight operations, this role requires a focus on cost efficiency, supplier and business unit partnerships, and supply chain innovation to meet the company's performance and profitability goals.

Key Accountabilities:

Strategic Planning:

Define and implement a robust supply chain strategy aligned with the company's business objectives, emphasizing demand forecasting accuracy, fill rate optimization, and cash flow improvement.

Identify key opportunities to reduce costs and increase responsiveness across the supply chain.

Financial Oversight and Spend Management

Oversee annual budget, ensuring that procurement, logistics, and distribution activities meet financial targets.

Develop strategies to improve working capital through better inventory management, cash flow forecasting, and supplier payment terms.

Forecasting and Inventory Management:

Lead forecasting initiatives to accurately predict demand, reduce inventory costs, and ensure the highest possible fill rates.

Implement advanced tools and processes to balance inventory levels, avoiding stockouts and excess inventory.

Operational Efficiency and Logistics:

Optimize transportation networks, warehouse operations, and overall distribution systems to improve fill rates and reduce lead times.

Streamline internal processes to increase supply chain efficiency and reduce total landed costs

Technology and Data Analytics:

Leverage data analytics and technology solutions to enhance forecasting accuracy, improve visibility across the supply chain, and make data-driven decisions.

Implement supply chain technology that supports real-time tracking, predictive modeling, and process automation.

Leadership and Team Development:

Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing supply chain team that drives continuous improvement and innovation.

Foster a results-oriented culture, with a focus on accountability and professional growth.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to procurement, trade, and supply chain regulations across all operations.

Stay informed on industry trends, market intelligence, and geopolitical developments to proactively mitigate potential disruptions.

Skills/Requirements
  • BA or BS degree preferably in Supply Chain/Operations management, minimum in a business/industrial related field

  • Experience with direct material, indirect services, and sourcing from low-cost regions

  • Financially literate, especially in P&L and cash-flow modeling, scenario building and comparatives analysis

  • Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to use a structured approach to understand, analyze, and solve complex problems / issues

  • Advanced Negotiation and Supplier Management skills

  • Ability to develop working partnerships with senior executives across the business and to challenge and influence them to create change

  • Cross-functional / cross-departmental outlook

  • Strong written communication and excellent oral presentation skills, and the ability to present convincingly at senior levels

  • 7+ years of team leadership / supervisory experience

  • Ten years of direct supply chain, operations, distribution or related experience

  • 30% Travel to support operations
