The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

Eagle, a Justrite Safety Group company is looking for a Safety Can Engineering Intern for their Wellsburg, WV operations. Develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy, and raw materials.

What You'll Do at Justrite:



  • Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems.
  • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates,
  • efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
  • Develop innovative solutions.
  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
  • Prepare samples for study.
  • Create process flow maps and value stream maps.
  • Collect, record, and transcribe data.
  • Show results in reports.
  • Maintain testing equipment.
  • Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process.
  • Advise on corrective actions.
  • Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Ensure financial budgets are followed.
  • Research and purchase new manufacturing technology.
  • Deliver a comprehensive presentation to management and executives at the end of the summer


What We're Looking For:



  • Current undergraduate student in their Junior or Senior year studying Engineering.
  • Strong interest in Manufacturing
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Willingness to travel to a JSG location for Intern Training Week
  • 10 week commitment
