Description

The Senior Site Administrator at Bell Nursery is the administrative leader for a complex agricultural operation. This includes but is not limited to administrative duties that support a major greenhouse production facility and distribution unit. The Senior Site Administrator assists the General Manager of the facility by coordinating office services, such as budget preparation and control, housekeeping, records control, and special management studies. Overall, this position will partner with our General Manager in achieving our company goals and objectives.

Tasks and Responsibilities



  • Compile data based on research and statistical compilations using operating programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform typing and transcription duties as required.
  • Establish procedures that implement operational and/or fiscal policies.
  • Independently compose reports and correspondence containing decisions that tend to establish precedents which may commit a unit or superior to a course of action.
  • Arrange and participate in meetings as directed.
  • Coordinate the activities/schedules of supervisors
  • Agricultural transactions to build and reconcile SKUs
  • Implement operational and/or fiscal policies as directed by General Managers of facilities.
  • Partnership, coordination, and active communication with the General Management team
  • Oversee supervision of HR functions executed by other administrators
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned


Qualifications

Requirements



  • High School Diploma (or equivalent); some college experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years of clerical experience
  • Working knowledge and prior experience of Microsoft Office Suite of products and email
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Professional integrity and sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Occasional weekend availability during peak months of our season
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to work without supervision and the ability to complete tasks without being prompted


Skills and Competencies:



  • Ability to maintain a fair and consistent set of standards as they apply to the workforce.
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work as an integral team member and project leader
  • Basic computer skills and proficient in Excel along with the ability to learn new software applications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to work as an integral team member and as a project leader
  • Must have proven communication and analytical skills.


Preferred



  • Bilingual-English and Spanish a plus, but not mandatory


Working Conditions



  • Distribution Center and Greenhouses requiring the ability to sit, stand and walk as needed to interact with employees and managers
  • Candidate must be able to sit for long periods of time
