Position Title: Slitter Operator - 2nd Shift
Wage: $17.00 - $18.00/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:30pm - 12:00am Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Slitter Operator at a company in McHenry, IL. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Apply today! Slitter Operator Responsibilities: - Produces and packages products assigned in accordance with production orders, production schedules, and quality standards - Understands instructions given by the Team Leaders or Production Manager and follows them accurately - Reviews and understands the production order and any special instructions - Sets up and operates equipment with supervision of the Team Leader - Communicates with Material Handlers material requirements to meet production or packaging demands - Verifies the quality of the products will meet or exceed the quality standards of both the customer and Jessup Manufacturing - Calculates all material usage accurately and neatly and records on work orders - Labels all finished product with accurate part numbers, work order numbers, lot numbers, customer information, and any other information required to efficiently process the product - Labels unused raw material for return to warehouse - Suggests process improvements to improve quality, efficiency, safety and communication Requirements for Slitter Operator: - High School Diploma or equivalent - Ability to read and understand production orders and verbal instructions - Ability to neatly and accurately record data - Ability to calculate basic math problems - Ability to read a tape measure accurately - Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs gurnee@qpsemployment.com IND019 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
