HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The School of Public Health - Health Policy & Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Sponsored Funded Professional - Project Coordinator for our new NCI-funded R01 project, which includes a clinical trial.

Study Management and Coordination:



  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the clinical trial, including adherence to study protocols, coordinating with investigators, and managing timelines to ensure the project stays on track.
  • Liaise between clinical sites, the principal investigator, and the NIH to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with the trial's objectives and milestones.
  • Manage study data collection, entry, and quality control to ensure accurate and complete data reporting.
  • Oversee the development and management of the clinical trial database, ensuring proper data handling, storage, and confidentiality according to regulatory standards.


Participant Recruitment and Retention:



  • Coordinate participant recruitment strategies, screen potential participants, and ensure informed consent is properly obtained.
  • Track participant retention and follow-up, resolving any issues that may arise to ensure data integrity and participant safety.


Supervision of Research Assistants and Volunteers



  • Supervise a team of student research assistants and volunteers, ensuring they are adequately trained in study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and data management procedures.
  • Assign tasks related to participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, and follow-up. Ensure they are processing participants appropriately and adhering to ethical guidelines for participant interactions.
  • Provide ongoing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to student assistants and volunteers, ensuring high-quality work and effective team collaboration.
  • Develop and implement schedules for team members to handle the daily operations of the clinical trial, including participant processing, data entry, and maintaining accurate documentation.


Regulatory Compliance and Reporting



  • Ensure the study complies with NIH guidelines, Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements, and FDA regulations (if applicable).
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of IRB applications, renewals, and amendments, as well as required progress reports to the NIH, including annual RPPR (Research Performance Progress Report) and ClinicalTrials.gov submissions.


Budget and Resource Management



  • Monitor the trial's budget, including tracking expenditures, managing subcontracts, and ensuring the study adheres to NIH grant financial regulations.
  • Ensure payments to participants are processed accurately and timely.
  • Work with the grants management office and external partners to ensure proper allocation of resources and timely financial reporting.

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a High School Diploma or GED and six years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
