Maintenance Mechanic - Canning Room

Seneca Foods in Clyman, Wisconsin is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - Canning Room to join our team. Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off and much more! Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!

Responsible for the completion of all maintenance activities in the Canning Roomarea.

Responsibilities:



  • Assist senior mechanics in thecompletion of all assigned phases of mechanical work.
  • Keep records up to date.
  • Troubleshoot machines or equipment to detect malfunctions.
  • Assist in the installation of machines and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance work.
  • Cut, form and assemble parts to construct machinery and equipment.
  • Repair machine guarding.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Oil and grease equipment as needed.
  • Make adjustments/repairs to converyors andpiping.
  • May be required to run production equipment to relieve other personnel for breaks or fill in as needed.
  • Observe all Company work, safety and GMP policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.



Qualifications:



  • Candidate should have basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to drive forklift or complete Seneca Foods Forklift training.
  • Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires between three (3) months and one (1) year of experience.
