Our Mission, Vision, and Values guide the way we do business. Leidos Engineering has an opportunity for a Civil-Site Designer who will work within Leidos' Power Delivery Services (PDS) division. This position will be part of an established Project Management Office (PMO) that provides consulting services to both public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities. These consulting services provide clients with overall project management tasks in the areas of comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission and distribution, substation and transmission line projects nationwide. As an experienced designer in civil-site work, you will coordinate directly with our civil engineers supporting our substation site development group creating site plans, grading and drainage plans, site development details, and potentially support other civil engineering efforts such as structural and foundation detailing. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to take basic direction from engineers to start projects using survey, substation overlays, aerial photography, and general site topography to create comprehensive drawing packages. A substantial attention to detail will be required, and the candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Effective communication supported by a philosophy of continuous improvement and teamwork is required. This role can accommodate remote work, but ideal/preferred candidates will be located in the greater Houston area and will have the ability to report to our Houston area office on an as-needed basis in the future.
