THE POSITION

This position will provide clerical support for Environmental Protection in the Northeast Regional Office. This position will work towards meeting the Agency File Plan Records Retention and Disposition Schedule.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will retrieve documents from various filing locations in preparation for scanning. You must be able to identify differences in report types and will bundle records accordingly. The CA2 will operate the regional high-speed scanner to upload documents into the DEP's OnBase Document Management System. The person in this position must be able to work independently to identify and sort inspection records, cleanup records, legal records, and records which can be discarded, as described within the Agency File Plan Records Retention and Disposition Schedule.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time, limited term employment (9 month).
  • As a limited term, wage position, benefits and paid holidays are not available for this position.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or

  • Graduation from high school; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
