Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician will test and inspect products at various stages of the production process, compile and evaluate statistical or trend data, and ensure the quality and reliability of products.

You Will:

  • Inspect and disposition customer returned materials, ensuring proper identification and recording within the Quality Management System software.

  • Set up and perform both destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, lifespan, or material characteristics.

  • Ensure nonconforming materials are segregated, and dispositions are obtained promptly.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas to determine quality and reliability standards, collaborating with management and engineering.

  • Recommend modifications to quality or production standards to optimize quality within equipment capabilities.

  • Assist with layout inspections for First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), tooling verification, setup verification, and in-process inspections.

  • Help administer the calibration system, keeping calibration cycles up to date for internally and externally calibrated gages and fixtures.

  • Maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and effective audit processes.

You Have:

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with at least one year of related experience in an ISO/TS/QS manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

  • ASQ certification (CQI, CQIA, CQPA, CQT) is a plus, especially if an associate's degree or technical equivalent is not held.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
