About the Job

About the Lab and Position:
Our research interests include algorithm-system co-design of machine learning/artificial intelligence; computer architecture and heterogeneous computing (FPGAs/GPUs); privacy-preserving machine learning; Large language models-aided computer system development. You will be leading the effort on algorithm and hardware co-design of machine learning and using LLM-based agents to perform complex tasks. Examples: chiplet design, HPC code generation, edge AI.

Duties/Responsibilities:
10% - Manage the ML system infrastructure essential to our research.
60% - Develop algorithm and hardware co-design of machine learning and large language models-aided computer system development.
30% - Supervise PhD students: providing mentorship and guidance that will be instrumental in developing their research skills and contributions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
PhD. in Computer Engineering (primary), Computer Science, or a field related to computing is required.
Applicants must have a good background in machine learning systems in a broad sense. They should have experience in efficient machine learning, algorithm and hardware co-design of machine learning in particular.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing algorithm and hardware co-design of machine learning and Large language models-aided computer system development.
