Job Summary:
- The Sr. Continuous Improvement Analyst is responsible for supporting resolution of customer-impacting incidents, for NRG's Consumer organization. Foundational to the role is the ability to develop and foster relationships across functional areas within NRG Consumer. The ideal candidate is curious, challenges the status quo, can perform independent data analysis and research, as well as successfully partner with others to identify gaps, areas of weakness or process waste, solutions and automation opportunities as well as recommend controls or other preventive/detective measures as necessary. Furthermore, they can navigate systems and processes to perform root cause analysis on incidents. The ideal candidate has a knack for observing data trends and forming recommendations or driving successful business outcomes accordingly. Preparing, modifying and improving reports via MS Excel, Sharepoint and Power BI is also key in this role. A detail-oriented focus, a logical approach to problem-solving, demonstrated initiative, as well as strong communication and time-management skills are all necessary for success.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Utilize strong research skills to perform independent data analysis
- Driving improvements based on incident data trends
- Curiosity to seek information related to incidents, process and control gaps and explore related resolution and improvement possibilities
- Support Incident Managers in the resolution of operational incidents
- Demonstrated process mapping and documentation skills
- Demonstrated continuous process improvement success
- Perform cost savings analysis and business case creation
- Prepare, modify and improve reporting via MS Excel, Sharepoint and Power BI for operational incidents and controls
- Eager for continuous learning opportunities and developing new skillsets
- Effectively interact, collaborate and build relationships with all levels of the organization and across multiple departments is essential
Working Conditions:
- Virtual office environment (remote worker.)
- Some overtime required as special projects arise.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in a Business Administration related area, or 3-5 years of related experience.

- SAP and Revenue Manager knowledge
- Lean Six Sigma Certification

- Experience within competitive retail electricity and natural gas markets
- Comprehensive analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Proven ability to learn new concepts quickly
- Proactive mindset along with demonstrated initiative and a "can do" work approach
- Strong bias for continual process improvement
- Proficient in MS Office software
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate by phone and Microsoft Teams (listening and speaking)
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components
- Physically able to participate in conference calls, meetings, presentations, and training sessions
