Summary

Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic role performs complex duties within the plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and carpentry to support the running of assigned healthcare facilities. Responds to Engineering and maintenance emergencies, performs preventative maintenance and advanced troubleshooting.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Two-year trade course or related equivalent experience in HVAC, machine maintenance, plumbing and/or electrical training required.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Seven years of experience supporting all aspects of facility maintenance in a healthcare environment required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Must know the healthcare/hospital regulatory compliance requirements for the HVAC-R and all environmental systems and appropriate actions needed to maintain that compliance.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
