Job Summary

Information Technology Services (ITS) at MCCCD is looking for a talented SharePoint Developer Associate to develop and maintain a SharePoint Online environment and related Microsoft 365 applications. The ideal candidate is someone who has migration, custom-theming, and styling experience in SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server platforms.

Essential Functions

30% - Administers SharePoint Online environment and related Microsoft 365 applications; performs upgrades, site enhancements and changes, creates sites, manages site content and user permissions for customers

30% - Designs and develops web-based solutions utilizing SharePoint's out-of-the-box functionality whenever possible to meet business requirements; develops custom code as defined in project specifications

20% - Responds to and resolves issues related to the SharePoint system via helpdesk tickets, email and/or phone calls; provides technical support and training for end users

15% - Creates and maintains documentation, including standards, implementation plans, configuration and procedural documents

5% Performs related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in any field.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience managing and developing sites/pages, custom theming/styles, page/site layouts in SharePoint Online or SharePoint Server.
B. Experience developing sites and hub sites for SharePoint Online using development tools and programming languages, including SharePoint Designer, SharePoint Online Management Shell, Visual Studio, JavaScript, CSS, .NET, HTML, and JQuery.
C. Experience with SharePoint Migration from classic sites to modern experience.
D. Experience with developing architecture and solutions for Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.

Special Working Conditions

This position will be hybrid or virtual based on the location of the selected candidate.
