Basic Function

The Plant Feedstock & Product Movement Specialist will act as the distribution area subject matter expert, which includes feedstock and final products movements as well as raw material and product storage systems. This position is the feedstock and product management liaison between the plant, supply chain, and the appropriate business groups.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Set unit tank farm and pipeline priorities to ensure optimized movements.

* First point of contact when technical expertise is needed for tank farm issues during off hours.

* Issue process unit operating instructions. Create and review Operations SOP's and EOP's

* Identify reliability threats and prioritize Tank Farm maintenance needs.

* Work with Engineering, Inspection and Maintenance to schedule tank inspections and cleanings.

* Help move the unit move beyond historical bottlenecks and constraints.

* Monitor operating KPIs. Work with operations to make changes in unit operation to meet KPIs.

* Review/participant in tank farm MOCs.

* Participate on incident investigations.

Identify operator performance issues on technical/core competencies. Work with Shift Supervisors to address performance issues. Provide input to shift supervisors for operator promotions and job certifications.

* Provide technical knowledge base for engineers.

* Provide expertise to operators during troubleshooting.

* Coordinate incoming feedstock pipeline and incoming feedstock ships to discharge at off-site storage facility. Manage these feed inventories to fit the needs of olefins

Min. Qualifications

* Typically, a minimum of 7 years of unit operations experience or 5 years with degree

* High school diploma or GED

* Technical understanding of Olefins backend operations.

* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required due to the frequent interaction with department personnel and other functional groups.

* Strong communication skills.

* Must be highly motivated and results-oriented.

* Must be willing to support a shift organization in a 24-hour, 365-day-per-year operation.

* 5 years of Tank Farm experience

* DCS console operations qualifications

* T/A, TOD, or Project Planning experience
