This Opportunity:

The ideal candidate has a strong history of providing
guidance and support to employees and management on employment-related
matters. They are adept at resolving issues, preventing disputes, and helping
create and enforce workplace policies.

Location & Compensation:

The
position is based in Palladium's
Washington D.C. office with
flexibility for a remote option in U.S. states where Palladium is registered.

For our prospective employees in the
United States, please note that the full-time equivalent annual base salary for
this position is expected to range from $85,000 to $115,000, and successful
candidates may also be eligible for additional, variable incentive compensation
dependent on the role.

Please
be advised that a final salary offer will be based on various factors,
including but not limited to your qualifications, education, experience,
skills, seniority, performance, and Palladium's business or organizational
needs.

Reporting
Lines:

This
candidate will report to the VP of Human Resources, Americas.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Investigate
    and resolve complex or critical employee relations issues in a timely and
    effective manner.
  • Partner
    with Risk Management team to investigate the various HR related aspects of
    reports submitted through the hotline.
  • Partner
    with HR Business Partners to respond to Unemployment Claims and represent
    the company in hearings.
  • Advise
    managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment
    opportunity, sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
  • Analyze
    and provide advice to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches
    to resolve employee work problems.
  • Conduct
    exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
  • Provide
    guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to departmental
    leaders and employees.
  • Recommend
    strategies to build a positive employer-employee relationship and promote
    a high level of employee morale and motivation.
  • Participate
    in the development and implementation of policy and procedures related to
    personnel matters.
  • Maintain
    knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of
    employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • AAP/EEO/Vets-4212 reporting development and analysis.
  • OSHA and BLS survey response

Essential Criteria:

  • French and English language proficiency required.
  • Experience in HR and Employee
    Relations required.
  • Employee Relations expertise with a strong background in workplace investigations.
  • Advanced knowledge of workplace compliance investigations best practices, employee advocacy, EEO compliance, and
  • Affirmative Action planning and reporting.
  • Experience in handling difficult, complex, and highly sensitive
    employee relations issues and providing guidance and mentorship to leaders.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills, with
    the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and competing
    deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including active listening, verbal
    and nonverbal communication, social awareness, empathy, and accountability.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and make independent decisions
    and recommendations on difficult and sensitive matters in a thorough and
    expeditious manner.
  • Strong aptitude to identify trends and develop proposed solutions.
  • Ability to travel to site for investigation if required.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Education in Human Resources or similar program, highly preferred.
  • Human Resources Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP), preferred.
