Assistant Director Supply Chain PURCHASING AND STORES Full Time 82461BR Job Summary Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Responsible for managing, preparing, administering, and directing the control of the budget / organization resources. Manages the activities of the financial / resource analyst staff. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control. Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget. Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $105,900 - $225,900 (Annual Rate). Required Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise using proven negotiation methods; and the ability to critically analyze a negotiation. Demonstrated ability to lead and advise cross-organization workgroups. Demonstrated experience with cost modeling and related financial analyses. Proven customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate work with others, both internally and externally, to accomplish tasks. Strong knowledge of sourcing policies, practices and state-of-the-art electronic sourcing systems. Demonstrated organization skills, including meeting facilitation and decision making. Proven verbal and written communication skills, listening, critical thinking and analytical skills. Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
