Corrections Maintenance Foreman - SCI Rockview

As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will oversee inmate work crews in maintenance, repair, construction, groundskeeping, and janitorial tasks. You will plan inmate schedules, instruct proper operation of machinery, and inspect completed work. You will also assist other trades staff in carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, refrigeration, masonry, and welding. Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary to ensure adherence to performance standards, while maintaining order and discipline of inmates during work assignments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
• Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with Sunday and Monday off.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,986.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
