DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will handle incoming and outgoing mail for BMV and BDL by receiving, opening, sorting, batching, and delivering it. Your tasks will involve using a mail slitter machine to open envelopes while ensuring the machine remains clean. You will need to differentiate between pipeline work and items meant for various areas; manage daily mail pickups and deliveries; remove contents from envelopes; flatten documents; and eliminate staples and paper clips. Additionally, you will mend any damaged documents with tape; read form numbers; and organize checks and documents for transport. You are expected to meet monthly performance goals. Communication with internal customers will be necessary, particularly through email or phone, to inform them about bulk packages at the dock. You will also be responsible for completing batch headers; placing applications in transporters or folders; and sorting miscellaneous applications into the correct bins for further processing at the back mail table.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- This position may require overtime.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
