THE POSITION

If so, the Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking an ambitious Administrative Assistant 1 to serve as a liaison between the Bureau of Vehicle Management (BVM) and other state agencies, commissions, and legislative bodies in support of the Commonwealth's fleet. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will be responsible for processing used car disposition reports for all vehicles and equipment that will be remarketed by our auction vendor, as well as processing reports for any "out-of-town" or "off auction site" vehicles. You will also oversee the auction remarketing sale process from start to finish including, but not limited to data entry and verification of all information needed to be processed within the database. Diligence must be exercised in order to verify data and vehicle condition reports from the auction company against the sale sheet and titles to ensure accuracy. This professional coordinates with the Office of the Attorney General any seized vehicles that may be offered for sale to double check for accuracy.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
