THE POSITION

If you have experience in construction administration and planning and want to take your career to the next level, the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) has the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Construction Project Administrator 1 to oversee building renovations, construction, maintenance, repair, and demolition projects at PSP owned and leased facilities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Construction Project Administrator 1, you will be responsible for the coordination, construction, repair, and renovation projects at PSP owned and leased facilities. This includes developing architectural plans and specifications, working closely with appropriate PSP bureau or section staff, inspecting work areas to ensure compliance, and preparing advertising requests and proposals. In addition, you will be responsible for managing, planning, and acquisition of leased offices and storage space. You will also be required to conduct routine physical inspections of all PSP facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position requires travel to the western part of the state at least once a week.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities; or
  • Two years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities; and a bachelor's degree in construction technology, architecture, building science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, building automation systems, or a closely related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities.

Special Requirements:

  • You must possess an active motor vehicle license.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
