DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position will serve as the liaison with the General Assembly for all PHIEA priorities. Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Planning and Partnership this person will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with state and federal legislators and their offices. Additionally, this position will attend relevant hearings and town hall meetings, track movement of relevant legislation and regulations, analyze the impact of new laws and rules coming from federal or state partners, and respond to legislative inquiries, including complaints and escalations.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may be expected to work from home (telework) full-time. You must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Periodic travel in-state and out-of-state may be required.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Five years of professional and varied governmental legislative experience; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Pennsylvania residency is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- At least 2 years of experience working with the Pennsylvania General Assembly
- Experience with Affordable Care Act (ACA) federal or state-based exchanges and/or health coverage programs
