Requisition ID req31723 Working Title HR Tech Position Grade 10 Position Summary Description: As a nationally accredited program with a strong educational component in The University of New Mexico School of Medicine, the Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) investigates any death occurring across the state of New Mexico that is sudden, violent, untimely, unexpected or where a person is found dead and the cause of death is unknown. The OMI, which is a special program within the Department of Pathology, determines the cause and manner of death in these cases, and provides formal death certification. OMI is currently looking for an HR Tech to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be a team player and willing to learn. The candidate will work closely with the HR Administrator to oversee the recruitment and employment processes for the organization. We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic and the ability to follow complex instruction. The position also requires a high degree of attention to detail, organization and efficiency. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Qualifications: Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Interviewing skills. Knowledge of and skill in developing human resources processes, procedures, and documentation, as applicable to a public institution. Ability to make evaluative judgments. Ability to analyze and develop creative solutions to complex human resources issues. Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems. Records maintenance skills. Skill in use of personal computers and related software applications. Ability to interpret and analyze informational needs, and provide technical advice and guidance in area of specialty. Database management skills. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Ability to analyze and solve problems.
