Position Overview:
The Credit and Collections Professional will manage a portfolio of accounts receivable, focusing on end-to-end credit and collections activities. The role is critical for maintaining cash flow, minimizing bad debts, and reducing days sales outstanding (DSO). This is a hybrid role
requiring strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external customers.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
Required Skills and Qualifications -
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in credit and collections(B2B focus) or customer service roles with increasing responsibility.
- Strong portfolio management
experience in a publicly traded company with significant end-user sales activities. - Ability to resolve complex issues independently.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Oracle, NetSuite, and GetPaid(preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
and Google Sheets, Docs, Slides.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stress and work well with others.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule: T/W/TH in Office (Westminster, CO), M/F Remote.
- Fully onsite for the first few weeks of training.
What You'll Be Doing:
Credit and Collections:
- Manage assigned accounts receivable portfolio, including account setup, cash collection, and dispute resolution.
- Conduct collection activities such as calling customers, sending statements, and following up on payments.
- Process credit applications
and recommend or approve credit limits. - Review sales orders on credit hold and approve them for release.
Account Reconciliation and Risk Management:
- Perform A/R account reconciliations
and manage disputes to achieve positive outcomes. - Process credit card transactions
and monitor monthly auto-pay activity. - Recommend bad debt reserves
on a monthly basis. - Liaise with third-party collection agencies and manage bankruptcy processes.
Reporting and Integration:
- Log all customer interactions and collection activities into the collection software system.
- Prepare and deliver reports for business unit controllers and internal stakeholders.
- Support acquisition and integration activities, including integrating systems, policies, and accounts of acquired companies.
Process Improvement:
- Drive efficiency and productivity
through process improvement initiatives. - Identify and implement creative, win/win solutions for THE COMPANY and its customers.
Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Spanish language proficiency.
- Experience working with acquisition integrations.
