What does the Surgical and Specialty Services Marketing Director do?

As the Surgical and Specialty Services Marketing Director at Texas Oncology, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to promote the organization's surgical and specialty medicine services. You will collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and cross-functional teams to drive patient acquisition, enhance brand awareness, and position Texas Oncology as a leader in surgical and specialty medicine. This position requires a strong understanding of healthcare marketing, surgical services, and specialty medicine, as well as exceptional strategic thinking and communication skills.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote surgical and specialty medicine services, aligning them with Texas Oncology's overall marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and clinical teams to understand service offerings, target patient demographics, and develop targeted marketing plans.
  • Manage team members and external agencies and vendors as needed.
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, print materials, events, and community outreach, to drive patient acquisition and enhance brand awareness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, medical practices, and community organizations to drive patient referrals and enhance strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the central marketing team to develop and adapt marketing collateral, content, and messaging specific to surgical and specialty medicine services.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and patient demographics to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation in the surgical and specialty medicine space.
  • Track and report on marketing campaign performance metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, operations, and business development, to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in surgical and specialty medicine marketing to continuously enhance the organization's marketing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry guidelines in all marketing activities.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in marketing, preferably within the healthcare industry or a related field, with a focus on surgical and specialty medicine services.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare marketing principles and strategies, with knowledge of surgical services and specialty medicine.
  • Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, print materials, events, and community outreach.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into effective marketing strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians, surgeons, and cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.
