PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. It is part of the Pemex group, a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics, and marketing. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crudes to produce the high-quality transportation fuels the world needs. The Pemex site is co-located with other 3rd party chemical facilities, allowing for further integration and optimization of the refinery and its products. As we continue to grow and evolve, we seek a talented and versatile Sr. IT Hydrocarbon Business Analyst with Business Relationship Management (BRM) experience to join our dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive alignment between IT and business stakeholders to deliver transformative digital solutions.
As the Senior IT Hydrocarbon Business Analyst, you will act as a business partner and support the executive Digital Strategy team in driving business mission-critical improvements. You will also act as the business relationship manager between the IT department and the Business Management and Process Engineering organizations.
To be successful, you should have: As a successful candidate, you must understand the Refinery business and Oil and Gas practices and feel comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Creativity and customer-centric attitudes are fundamental in this role.
Your primary objective as a Business Analyst (BA) will be to prioritize and drive continuous improvement opportunities. This includes understanding the business processes and requirements and utilizing the associated IT applications. You will also assist in requirement gathering, vendor selection, and planning and execution of small projects. Your specific responsibilities will include:
Stakeholder Management: · Act as the business relationship manager for the commercial, supply chain, scheduling, planning, and process engineering teams. Facilitates discussions between business leads and IT. · Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects to develop strategic roadmaps for business capabilities and applications. Presentations to the executive team are expected. · Work closely with PMO (Project Management Office) to deliver key projects. · Collaborate with the offshore Applications Support teams. · Work closely with the IT Technical team to enforce infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity requirements.
Key Responsibilities: · Develop a roadmap of applications and technology that enables business capabilities. · Maintain and support the portfolio of applications for the Business Management organization, including contract and license management. · Lead vendor relations and management. · Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements for enhancements and improvements. · Lead application projects, deployments, upgrades, and enhancements.
