Overview

Under the general direction of the Sr. Global Benefits Manager, perform a variety of complex administrative, technical, and analytical work in support of benefits administration and programs for teammates. The Sr. Benefits Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and administering benefits plans, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and providing support to teammates regarding benefits inquiries. The role requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of benefits administration, and a commitment to delivering a high quality of customer service.



Responsibilities

    Systems and Data
    * Support the administration of all benefits related processes in HR, Payroll, and Benefits systems.
    * Serve as first point of contact for internal systems or data related issues.
    * Knowledge and support of benefit vendor systems and integrations. Create and monitor data files transferred from the company's benefits/information system to third party administrators; and resolve vendor interface issues and system errors.
    * Track and manage teammate benefits data, ensuring the HR, Payroll, and Benefit systems are up to date.
    * Conduct ongoing benefits audits and reporting to ensure data integrity, resolving any discrepancies
    * Analyze business demands and determine technical requirements to meet data management needs and to support business initiatives.
    * Assist and oversee the setup and ongoing maintenance of benefits module.
    * Provide data for legal compliance and internal/external auditing.
    * Partner with payroll, accounting and budgeting to assure proper maintenance of system operations and new functionality
  • Administration
    * Analyze and administer teammate health & wellness and retirement benefits plans
    * Collaborate with HR and external vendors to manage the annual enrollment process, ensuring smooth execution and effective communication to teammates.
    * Serve as a main point of contact for teammate benefits questions, providing timely and accurate information.
    * Assist with the development and distribution of benefits communications, including benefit guides, newsletters, educational sessions, etc.
    * Support the HR team with benefits-related inquiries, claims issues, and help during annual audits.
    * Create customized reports and queries to be used in the performance of daily activities, audits and/or other areas of operations within benefits.
    * Research and develop system program aids that align with overall effectiveness and efficiencies of department function.
    * Serve as back up administrator of the department in the appropriate administrator's absence
  • Analysis/Project Management
    * Review and evaluate benefits plan designs, cost effectiveness, and industry trends to recommend improvements or changes.
    * Partner with Benefits Manager and business vendors and third-party vendors to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities.
    * Participate and project manage where appropriate the development, testing, implementation review of benefits related projects.
    * Help to define, design, document and implement solutions for the improvement of productivity and efficiently with benefits and human resources.
  • Compliance
    * Monitor benefits plan compliance with Federal and State regulations such as ACA and ERISA.
    * Interpret employee benefit plan documents, state statutes, federal legislation, program rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, regulations and policies.
    * Serve as a resource for information regarding benefit plans, policies and procedures


Qualifications

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree human resources management, Business Administration, or related field Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in complex benefits administration (health & welfare and retirement plans), including payroll and accounting analysis, and use of benefits administration information systems. Required and
  • 5+ years experience with self-funded employer group benefits programs in organizations of 1,000 U.S. employees or more Required
  • 1+ years experience in global multi-national organizations and global benefits administration Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)-IFEBP Preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Preferred
