DataFielder Inc. is seeking a Principal Programmer Analyst to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and enhancement of mission-critical systems. This is a remote long term contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle Live Energy Connect (LEC) using ICCP and bring innovative solutions to projects within the energy sector. With strong technical and functional knowledge, you will collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of new and existing systems, ensuring they are reliable and efficient.
  • Provide technical expertise and functional insights to application development teams for cutting-edge solutions.
  • Devise and modify procedures to solve complex problems, preparing detailed specifications for program development.
  • Utilize development methodologies, system lifecycles, and tools to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Collaborate continuously with Business Systems Analysts, technical team members, Scrum Masters, and Technology Managers to align on requirements and deliverables.
  • Manage ticket resolution processes, including monitoring progress and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Offer guidance and training to team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Document and communicate a clear understanding of the delivered solution.

Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience with Oracle Live Energy Connect (LEC) using ICCP (specifically in Oracle Utilities for energy companies).
  • 5+ years of experience working with Independent System Operators (ISOs).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AIX/Unix systems.
  • 3+ years of experience working with agile technologies and JIRA.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Unix/Windows scripting.
  • Python working experience.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, including connection setups with field devices.
Compensation $35-$40/hr.
