Overview
Sterile Processing Education Coordinator, Javon Bea Hospital - Riverside campus - 80 hours / 2 weeks - Variable Day Shift Hours - This position will also support the Mercyhealth Harvard Hospital and the Mercyhealth Crystal Lake Hospital locations. The Sterile Processing Education Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing a standardized program of orientation, continuing education, and competency assessment for all partners who reprocess reusable medical devices throughout Mercyhealth. The incumbent will ensure that training and operating standards at all locations comply with regulatory agency standards. The incumbent will cultivate and nurture positive and collaborative relationships with internal customers, including infection prevention staff, all partners who perform reprocessing, and their leaders. This position also reviews quality processes and practices, especially at Mercyhealth clinics, to ensure regulatory compliance. The position includes frequent travel among various hospitals and ambulatory/outpatient facilities. Responsibilities
