Conde Nast is seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of Product Analytics to lead and drive data-driven decision making across our portfolio of brands. As a key member of the Technology organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product analytics strategy, optimizing user experiences, and driving business growth. Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with senior leadership to define the long-term product vision and strategy. Champion the use of data and analytics to drive product development and business growth. Provide data-backed insights to inform broader company decisions. Advocate for data-driven decision-making and process improvements. Drive collaboration and alignment across teams to achieve shared goals.
Team Development and Management
Recruit, develop, and mentor top talent to build a world-class product analytics team. Encourage a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement. Identify and groom future leaders within the organization. Provide guidance and support to all team members.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Create and implement sophisticated analytics models and methodologies. Proactively identify and address data quality and accessibility issues. Use data insights to focus on product performance, improve user experience, increase engagement, and drive revenue. Develop and set company-wide key performance indicators (KPIs), including metrics to track product success.
Industry Thought Leadership
Keep a deep understanding of emerging technologies and best practices in product analytics. Serve as a thought leader in the industry, with opportunities to speak at conferences and publish white papers.
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience in product analytics, data science, or other quantitative disciplines. 5+ years of proven track record of leading and managing high-performing product analytics teams. Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, or computer science). Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present data storytelling and complex outcomes to audiences of all levels, including the senior leadership team. Track record of providing valuable insights that shape the product roadmap and business, with measurable outcomes on user engagement, growth, satisfaction, and business revenue impact. A trusted partner to product and business leaders, including the senior leadership team. Extensive experience in experimental design; including A/B and multivariate testing causal inference, and difference-in-difference techniques. Advanced experience with SQL and Python, as well as database technologies (e.g. relational and non-relational databases, data lake and warehouse). Hands-on experience on data visualization and reporting tools. Experience leading embedded teams (versus a central service analytics function) that partner throughout the product development lifecycle. Knowledgeable of user growth/engagement and advertising in the media or publishing landscape.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $200,000-$240,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
