The Account Manager is part of a sales team responsible for growing the overall sales for the company.
The individual handles the day-to-day operations of a base of assigned accounts from account management, order entry, customer relationships, technical sales, project management, and other assigned duties.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for business issues for assigned accounts, involving the appropriate AHEAD department for technical, operational, or accounting requests.
  • Responsible for building strong customer alliances with decision makers in assigned current accounts.
  • Communicates the client's goals and represent the client's interests to the AHEAD departments and team.
  • Provides regular two-way communication between the customer and appropriate AHEAD department; provides strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
  • Receive and answer assigned clients' calls, e-mails, and questions to ensure their requests are fulfilled and questions are answered in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the Director of
  • Sales of any problems that may arise.
  • Assist Regional Sales Specialists with the strategic development and closing of new accounts.
  • Have a full understanding of company capabilities and service and effectively communicates all offerings to the customer.
  • Act as the project manager while working with the Regional Sales Specialists to ensure all related sales process tasks are assigned to the correct departments and completed on time and on budget.
  • Responsible for working with the customer and AHEAD's branding department to ensure that the customer receives the designed look and feel of the customer's hardware solution from faceplate to shipping box.
  • Exceed success metrics established.
  • Be able to present to small customer audiences consisting of any of the following: engineers, managers, directors, and "C" level employees.
  • Generate and maintain a credible forecast for accounts each month and provide this information on a regular basis to Senior Management.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with assigned accounts to evaluate clients' overall satisfaction with AHEAD; determine additional types of services/products needed; give customer information on all aspects of their account (i.e. RMA's, stock inventory, EOL information, etc.)
  • Work with warehouse and production to ensure customer orders are being processed according to the production processes and work schedules.
  • Answer questions from other AHEAD departments in regard to a customer's account, orders, or operations of a customer's program.
  • Responsible following the standards of communication and process flow with the engineering, production, and warehouse departments to ensure that all communication is clear, concise, and effective.
Experience, Skills & Requirements
  • 3+ years of sales experience.
  • 3+ years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to present to small groups on a variety of subjects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assign priority to each.
  • Ability to utilize project management skills and tools to manage multiple projects.
  • High level of attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Some technical competence necessary (understand computer hardware, software, etc.)
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings ("OTE") for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
