Job Summary |
Auburn Advancement is excited to begin the search for a Corporate Relations Officer to join our engagement team! You will lead university-wide efforts in cultivating dynamic relationships and securing substantial investments from corporate partners, spearheading initiatives aimed at significantly enhancing corporate engagement and advancing our strategic and philanthropic priorities.
What You'll Do:
- Relationship Cultivation and Stewardship: Foster dynamic partnerships with corporations to secure substantial financial support. Align corporate interests with Auburn Advancement and Auburn University's strategic priorities to drive impactful initiatives forward.
- Amplify Impact and Visibility: Harness partnerships to extend the influence and success of our educational and research endeavors. Innovate and lead programs that elevate our university's standing within the corporate community.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Strategize and implement comprehensive plan to drive significant increases in corporate investments. Lead the execution of initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and impact of our corporate relations programs.
- Champion Philanthropy: Forge strategic partnerships with corporations that align their business goals with Auburn University's mission, resulting in substantial investments in education, research, and community initiatives that propel philanthropic efforts that empower our university to fulfill its mission.

Essential Functions |
Purpose: Forge strategic partnerships with corporations that align their business goals with our institution's transformative initiatives by securing substantial financial investments that directly support our commitment to education, research, and community impact. Collaboration: The ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and to navigate various personalities and work styles with effectiveness. Work closely with diverse stakeholders across the university and within Advancement to align corporate partnerships with our university's strategic priorities. Cultivate strong relationships with volunteer leaders, campaign committees, and advisory councils to enhance corporate engagement efforts and maximize philanthropic impact. Innovation: Design and implement forward-thinking corporate relations programs that elevate Auburn University's visibility to influence within the corporate community. Develop and execute creative strategies to effectively cultivate, solicit, steward, and expand corporate relationships, ensuring sustainable growth and meaningful contributions. Production: Develop and execute sophisticated strategies to secure major gifts from corporate partners, ensuring alignment with our fundraising goals. Demonstrated ability to work successfully with faculty and staff across a broad range of academic disciplines and to translate and shape complex research projects and university priorities into compelling fundraising proposals. Manage reporting and stewardship of corporate contributions with precision and dedication, supporting comprehensive fundraising efforts that propel our institution forward.

Minimum Qualifications

Development Officer I
Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations
Development Officer II
Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations
Development Officer III
Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations |
