Pay Rate: Starting at $17.87/hour 1st Shift

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for leading and directing the daily operations in the scale mezzanine to ensure the production of Safe, Quality Food.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:



  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure equipment and environment is in safe operating condition
  • Place individuals for Master Packs as required and direct them on what to do
  • Communicate with dry room lead, packaging lead and all PMO's to ensure adequate product is being ran
  • Notify PMO's of hopper status
  • Instruct scale workers on how to "fluff" product on hoppers
  • Track schedule sequence and production
  • Ensure any necessary paperwork is completed accurately and timely
  • Monitor breaks and lunches
  • Keep area clean
  • Any and all other duties assigned by your Supervisor
  • Work is performed in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees F. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia is present. Work surfaces and floors may be wet. Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. unassisted up to of the workday, and 6 lbs. overhead as job demands. Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:



  • SKILLS: Must have good communication and computer skills. Must be a self-starter and possess initiative. Must be able to lead and direct.
  • * ADDITIONAL: Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment. Required to work independently and with limited supervision. Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/ procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work overtime; some weekends are required.

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIE

EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of production processes is required. Previous experience in a food processing facility is desired.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Must have HS Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks. Must successfully complete required work keys.

PAY RATE: $17.87 hourly
