Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a highly qualified Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Materials Performance and Modeling Group within the Materials Science and Manufacturing Department reporting to the project investigator. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off. You will conduct advanced modeling and simulation of fusion energy systems and microwave processing through additive manufacturing. You will develop open-source software for multiphysics simulations involving radiofrequency (RF) and microwave-driven systems and performing verification and validation (V&V) activities through methods such as the method of manufactured solutions, code-to-code benchmarking, and comparisons to experimental results.
