Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - General Surgery

MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital is seeking a dynamic Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join their General Surgery department. This role involves providing surgical assist and inpatient rounding, as well as postoperative care and medical management services in the outpatient setting. This APP will function closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. This position is a part-time, 20-hour position, with 8-10 hour shifts.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

* Master's degree in PA studies from an ARC-PA accredited PA program.

* NPs with applicable experience/training considered.

* Current state license in good standing, or the ability to obtain licensing in Maine.

* DEA certificate with prescribing privileges.

* Certified Surgical First Assist.

* BLS certification.

* Minimum of two years PA experience required.
