As a tertiary care center serving the east coast, having a significant presence in Charlottesville and surrounding areas, we are committed to managing complex and critical cases with expertise. Our Heart and Vascular center has an established history in developing and providing advanced imaging services. As we continue to innovate and lead in cardiovascular care, we are seeking dedicated staff to join our team and provide exceptional care for our patients. As a Cardiac Sonographer providing Echocardiography services, you will play a vital role in generating high quality diagnostic studies, improving patient outcomes within our Heart & Vascular Center. Position Description: An Echocardiography Sonographer is a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Professional that is qualified by professional credentialing and academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. The scope of practice of the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer includes those procedures, acts, and processes permitted by law for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, has demonstrated competency, and has completed the appropriate ARDMS certification which is the standard of practice in cardiac ultrasound.
