Mechanic - Wyoming Waste (Waste Connections) | Riverton, WY

Location: Riverton, WY
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift (45-50 hours per week)
Starting Pay: $26-$28 per hour (DOE)

Wyoming Waste, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a safety-conscious Mechanic to join our team in Riverton, WY. If you have experience in diesel vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, safety checks, and repairs on diesel vehicles, including electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle control modules using computerized electrical systems.
• Respond to emergency road calls for repairs.
• Review and complete repairs listed on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Utilize fleet maintenance software for documentation and reporting.
• Test drive trucks after servicing to ensure proper functionality.
• Assist team members with repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with drivers and team members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience with diesel vehicle diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repair.
• Proficiency with a variety of diagnostic tools.
• Basic tool set required.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Class B CDL (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Hydraulic experience is a plus.
