The Apprentice Field Service Engineer responsibilities will be to learn from the Senior Territory Manager, Territory Manager and Regional Service Manage the skills and knowledge to perform preventative maintenance, installs, technical troubleshooting & repair, and calibration of OEM medical devices or systems. This role will assist and learn to perform technical inspections and the documenting of and maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, calibrations, and work performed on all equipment. May be asked to perform service work remotely providing telephone, remote technical support, and remote diagnostics to external healthcare customers and filed partners to resolve customer equipment issues and initiate escalations, if appropriate. This position is to be based in the northeast, in either the New York or New Jersey area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Learn from and work with the Senior Territory Managers, Territory Managers and RSM's and complete all assigned tasks. Participate in classes and informal training in the local area or offsite. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and unplanned maintenance and perform any required equipment upgrades as assigned. Install and de-install OEM equipment, performing site inspections and/or interacting with customers and contractors as needed. Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through service excellence. Ensure accurate and timely completion of records of all installations and deinstallations, repairs and maintenance and of all regulatory compliance paperwork required. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAbility to resolve problems, think analytically, work independently, and communicate professionally.Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime, often on short notices, and work a rotating on-call service schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage. Degree of mechanical aptitude. Able to work productively in a pressurized environmentWill be required to adhere to certification/credentialing required by the Customer in connection with admission into its facilities to perform job duties.Customer requirements to allow admission into its facilities to perform job duties will include but are not limited to drug testing and immunizations as dictated by the customer or facility policy.Ability to lift, carry and move various items of a minimum of 50 lbs. while utilizing proper technique.While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and drive for long periods of time.The employee must have use of hands and fingers and be able to reach with hands and arms, speak and hear.The employee will regularly use motion of fingers, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and upper body while performing essential functions.Ability to operate an automobile. Valid state driver's license and good driving record.Expected compensation $18/hr. This range may vary and is based on several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, etc.
