How You Will Make An Impact

Aptima is seeking a Business Strategy intern in the MA or OH office for summer 2025 to conduct research in specific areas to uncover new market opportunities, analyze competitive solutions and identify prospective business cases. As a Business Strategy Intern you will have a significant degree of autonomy to deliver and conduct research, analyses and business cases.

You Can Expect To:

  • Conduct a mix of online and live research (via phone / video)
  • Expand on market available information and help assemble insights to inform business decisions around Aptima's core capabilities
  • Work with a variety of proprietary and non-proprietary research tools
  • Use desktop and third-party research reports to analyze market sizes, forecasts, trends, and competitive landscapes
  • Support the development of commercialization materials for proposals
  • Distilling the analysis into PowerPoint format
  • Validate addressable market data, create maps of competitive landscapes and prepare a business case assessment and recommendation
  • Research companies that successfully transitioned to Programs of Record
  • Research the top conferences for program of record stakeholders for Aptima to attend
  • Develop a proposal boilerplate database
  • Research government organizations and identify points of contact for transition briefs
Requirements
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
  • Completed the first year of an MBA program
  • Comfortable with performing research via performing web searches and perusing third party research reports
  • Good understanding of technology and software platforms for basic diligence and inquiries
  • Moderate experience in PowerPoint and Excel including Experience with financial modeling within Excel
  • Ability to compile and analyze information from multiple sources
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to document and effectively communicate results and conclusions from the information as evidenced by project reports, presentations, etc.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter
  • Ability to learn quickly and think on your feet
  • Open to ongoing feedback
