Database Engineer Senior

The Database Engineer Senior manages the design, analysis, and improvement of Electronic Health Record (EHR) software applications for the organization. Working under minimal supervision, the Database Engineer Senior ensures software modules are encoded, tested, debugged, and installed so that EHR users can quickly and intuitively access applications.

Monitors database performance, scalability and security, resolving any issues to ensure databases are operating properly.
Examines existing database design and determines necessary updates and integration requirements of new designs.
Reviews plans for architecture updates and new systems with existing warehouse structure to refine performance/functionality.
Designs database applications such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, and data partitions to support access of the generic database structure.
Guides lower-level professionals to ensure a capable and proficient data engineering workforce.
Determines objectives and approaches to assignments and recommends changes to leadership to drive innovation, improve processes, and make strategic recommendations.
Reviews existing policies, procedures, and workflow to evaluate the effectiveness of existing practices, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 6 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: Platform-centric Certification
