SUMMARY:

The Branch Manager oversees the efficient operation of the branch ensuring all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff. They must convey a feeling of trust, service, security and satisfaction to customer and staff. The Branch Manager is responsible for attaining branch goals as outlined on the branch scorecard, including coaching, and supporting staff towards goal achievement. They must have the ability to assist customers in all types of desk area transactions, have excellent customer service skills, recognize customer needs, and have familiarity with all retail banking products and services. The Branch Manager must be proficient in both operational efficiency and all aspects of the teller function. They should foster a positive environment which is necessary to mentor and lead a team and grow their customer base while providing an excellent customer experience. The Branch Manager must show strong attention to detail and display creative problem solving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Thorough understanding of ATC products and services and ability to recognize customer needs, provide solutions, and suggest new bank products and services to customers.

Ability to open, close, and maintain of all types of deposit accounts and safe deposit boxes.

Adhere to ATC customer service standards to ensure branch achieves benchmark scores for VOC.

Assist with the cross training of other employees.

Advises customers and potential customers on financial matters including more complex banking activities including establishing business accounts, foreign exchange, estates, trusts, IRAs, bonds, wire transfers, etc.

Keep staff informed of pertinent changes in operational policy and procedures.

Responsible for ongoing coaching and development of staff.

Obtain and maintain Notary Public and NMLS.

Ability to open and close branch and assist other branches as needed.

Knowledgeable of security equipment including the video and door access systems. Good understanding of security procedures, handling employee problems, emergency situations and staff absence coverage.

Demonstrates good decisions on customer problems and/or complaints and judgment calls.

Prepare performance appraisals and disciplinary notices as required.

Knowledge of branch maintenance and able to place proper service calls for problems regarding machines, indoor and outdoor facilities, and service companies.

Knowledge of consumer loan products, ability to take applications, and close loans.

Support and participate internal business development initiatives and prospect calling

Perform pre-audits to insure ongoing adherence with compliance procedures.

Oversee the creation and implementation of branch schedules that provide for the most efficient use of staff resources while meeting customer needs.

Make efforts to understand and manage scorecard targets.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 2 years Management Experience. A four-year degree or equivalent experience in branch management.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Open Office applications.

Cash handling, sales, and/or customer service experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal relationship skills and the demonstration of effective listening and communication abilities are highly recommended.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, and outside bank personnel.
Communicate Orally.
Normal daily physical activities to include: walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to read reports and use computer.
Occasionally will lift 20-30 pounds (files, cash drawer, etc.)
