Role:

The Senior BSA Analyst primary responsibility is to support all areas of the BSA compliance management system. This position assists in maintaining the Bank's BSA compliance program to ensure conformity and adherence with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Assists with the oversight and management of the BSA/AML program and software in collaboration with the BSA/OFAC Officer. Manages more complex investigations and monitoring of transactions and high risk customers related to possible suspicious and fraudulent activity. Assists with audits, risk assessments, Board training, and 314(a) and 314(b) responsibilities.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

E 30% Assist with BSA/AML functions by performing routine reviews to identify trends, unusual activity, and monitor large currency activity in a time-sensitive and investigative manner.

E 10% Assist BSA Officer with the development and review of BSA policies, processes, and procedures, within regulatory guidelines, to comply with BSA and OFAC laws.

E 10% Independently complete reviews of higher risk customer categories.

E 10% Assist BSA Officer with BSA/AML automated software provisioning, controls, parameter settings, testing, and validation to ensure effectiveness to identify suspicious and fraudulent activity. Evaluate software releases and make recommendations.

E 10% Manage more complex investigations and investigate suspected cases of activity related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and tax evasion. Collaborate with Fraud Team on case management.

E 5% Answer more complex BSA and OFAC related questions from personnel, using established BSA resources, and escalate to BSA Officer as needed.

E 5% Assist BSA Officer with various duties including preparing for independent audits and regulatory exams as well as delivering BSA/AML/OFAC related training to all areas of the organization as needed.

E 5% Assist with the assessment of the Bank's BSA/AML risk profile to apply appropriate risk management processes.

E 5% Assist in gathering data for reporting as needed for various levels of management up to and including the Board of Directors.

E 5% Assists in analyzing new and pending laws and regulations that could directly affect the Bank's current practices.

E 5% Assist with 314(a) and 314(b) responsibilities.

Performance Measurements:

1. To comply with the letter and with the spirit of the bank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

2. To maintain the confidentiality of customer and any other sensitive information.

3. To maintain a continuous study of applicable State and Federal Laws to ensure the bank's policies and procedures remain compliant with the appropriate laws.

4. To prepare periodic reports timely, accurately, and professionally.

5. To keep management informed of key operating issues affecting the department.

6. To develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with department/branch staff.

7. To complete required training and undertake additional training as needed to increase job knowledge and maximize productivity.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.

Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills ' Proficiency in using BSA/AML transaction monitoring software (Abrigo BAM+ preferred)

' Strong understanding of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations

' Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts

Physical Requirements The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
