Tectonic is currently seeking a full-time Dispatcher to assist with scheduling and coordinating our special inspections based out of our Astoria, NY Office. This offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the A/E/C industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review client requests for inspection services and enter them in to the TIMS database;
- Respond to various inquiries from clients and inspectors regarding construction inspection, scheduling, work scope, job requirements, availability, etc.;
- Perform other related clerical duties, including project tracking, data entry, scanning, copying, mailing/shipping;
- Communicate with inspectors to ensure compliance with the Corporate Health and Safety Program, job specific safety requirements, and other applicable requirements;
- Performing all other related duties as required to support the inspection field management staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of relevant experience, with knowledge of the engineering and/or construction industry;
- Strong computer skills, including a basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other programs, including TIMS, a Company-specific scheduling program;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a professional office environment;
- Must have good sense and sound judgement in practical matters;
- Must be detail-oriented, with effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the candidate must be able to constantly assume a stationary position, and must handle and/or feel documents, materials, and/or equipment to perform necessary tasks, sometimes repetitively. The candidate must be able to occasionally maneuver within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and may exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. Frequently, they must be able to receive and convey detailed or important information with others via the Corporate e-mail system, telephone system, and in person.

PAY RANGE
Tectonic's goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.
Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00 / hour
