The West Virginia University School of Dentistry, Morgantown, WV is seeking applications for a full-time, clinical or tenure-track faculty position at the assistant/associate professor level in the Department of Periodontics. Determination of faculty salary and academic rank is within the purview of the Dean and the Faculty Evaluation Committee and will commensurate with qualifications.

Responsibilities will include didactic and clinical teaching at the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral level; patient care; scholarly activity; and service the University, the School of Dentistry and the community. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in all aspects of periodontal therapy, implant surgery, and advanced reconstructive procedures; effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills; leadership skills; and a strong commitment to diversity and social justice.



Qualifications

Candidates must have a D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school or foreign equivalent and satisfactory completion of a CODA accredited postgraduate training program in Periodontics. Candidates must be eligible for a West Virginia dental license or teaching permit. Information on licensure in WV can be found at http://www.wvdentalboard.org. The applicant must be board certified or board eligible for the American Board of Periodontology at the time of appointment.
