Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:

Description of Work Continued:
Primary Purpose of the Position:

The Senior Assistant Director of Admissions/Transfer Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of undergraduate transfer student recruitment, with the goal of increasing enrollment through targeted strategies and communication. This role provides supervision and leadership to two (2) Assistant Directors of Admissions for Transfer Recruitment. The Senior Assistant Director oversees transfer file evaluation, recruitment activities, and partnerships with community colleges in North Carolina and surrounding states. Additionally, the role assists with broader projects and initiatives within the Admissions Office as needed. The position reports directly to the Executive Director of Admissions and includes travel.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two to four (2-4) years of experience in an admissions office, with in-depth knowledge of transfer recruitment processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Valid NC Driver's License.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of college academic offerings, support systems, and articulation agreements.
  • Strong organizational and goal-oriented skills with a commitment to flexibility and adaptability.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to process student information in designated systems and collaborate effectively with diverse populations.
  • Commitment to exemplary customer service.


Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with transfer credit & financial aid options for transfer students.
