Overview:

The Director of Engineering & Operations is responsible for delivery of IFM services within the client's Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) manufacturing portfolio. The position oversees implementation and delivery of Integrated Facilities Management and critical delivery of soft services and hard services with technical and operational excellence across the portfolio. Delivery must result in exceeding all MSA KPI's and KSL's and meeting agreed contractual budget goals. This key position will lead the operational team to success by driving standardization and best practices, including implementation of the JLL/Life Sciences platform policies, procedures and programs that promote safe and sustainable workplace experience with crucial focus on reliability maintenance program in all facilities, eliminating downtime due to equipment or facility outages. Emphasis should be on securing trusted advisor status with the client, continuous focus on improving the overall client experience through transformation and developing a positive partnership through timely response to concerns or needs of the client.

Required Skillsets:
Must have minimum of 10 years projects or maintenance and operations experience and experience in GMP / GXP/regulated spaces sites and processes
Highly attuned people management skills as role will oversee all areas of operations and maintenance and will work closely with senior site client, engineering and client capital project managers.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, methodologies, and tools including but not limited to safety, reliability, root cause analysis, agile, lean, six sigma, and sustainability
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of identifying and addressing critical operational and reliability issues.
Exceptional Client relationship management experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience managing the operation and maintenance of High-Pressure Steam Utility plants to include:High Pressure boilers, chillers, and compressed air systems. In addition, the operation and maintenance of steam, compressed air, and chilled water distribution systems including pumps and piping.
Familiarity with high voltage electric systems including motor control systems, underground utility lines and associated equipment

Ability to develop and execute a strategic plan aligned with firm/clients' goals
Exceptional Supplier partner management experience
Strong project management skills

Core Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Resource Management:
Lead a team of facility managers, engineers and functional administration, providing operational leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful execution of IFM program and engineering initiatives for all sites within the portfolio encompassing multiple sites in NAM
Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

IFM Program Development and Management:
Collaborate with the client's internal teams to understand their existing engineering and operations program and identify areas for improvement.
Manage and improve a robust engineering and operations strategy aligned with the client's goals, incorporating JLL's expertise and best practices in the life sciences industry.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and benchmarks to track and measure the effectiveness of the reliability program.
IFM operational budgeting and delivery in driving site teams to execute cost savings targets and monthly meet all KPI forecast targets.
Responsible for working in partnership with JLL platform; Quality and Sourcing directors on the selection and monitoring of contractors for special services

Compliance & Performance Optimization:
Comply with all JLL policies, cardinal rules of safety including but not limited to ethics and operational practices
Must lead by example and set craft labor "safety first" work environment and culture
Collaborate with the client's operations and maintenance teams to identify critical assets and develop maintenance strategies to maximize their reliability and performance.
Conduct engineering & operations assessments and analyses to identify potential risks, failure modes, and areas for improvement to ensure site team meet required outcomes to ensure sustainable results for maximizing operational efficiency.
Expectation to analyze/trend failures and incidents, determine root cause, and implement process improvements as appropriate and follow on corrective action plans (CAPAs) are executed and communicated in a timely manner
Ensure no notices of nonconformance, notices of violation or regulatory findings related to services or activities directly managed or delivered by Service Provider

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in reliability engineering and asset management practices within the life sciences industry.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging JLL's expertise and industry-leading tools and technologies.
Develop a resilient succession plan supported by apprentice program to future proof the organization
Identify and implement innovative solutions and technologies to enhance asset performance, reduce costs, and optimize maintenance practices.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the life sciences client's organization, including operations, engineering, and quality teams.
Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights, recommendations, and strategic guidance on reliability best practices and JLL's expertise in the field.
Regularly communicate and report on the progress, results, and value delivered through the reliability program.
Set direction and work with client to ensure compliant and efficient operational processes as implement by the account's Facility Managers and Chief Engineers in performing work within manufacturing utilitiesThis includes contractor training, review and assurance of proper Methods of Procedure and working through change control processes
Review operational procedures at locations to assure optimal energy efficiency is achieved
Developing SOP and operational procedures specific to local sites requirements
Ensuring the teams are always "audit ready"
