Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States can be found in the JOB INFO section below. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Senior Manager-Key Accounts!

Are you passionate about Sales? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our Key Accounts function. As a Senior Manager-Key Accounts, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. This critical position, which reports into the Regional Vice President - Northeast Sales will act as a catalyst in the commercial organization in developing and executing Key customer growth for S&C. The primary goal for this role is to increase adoption rate of our disruptive innovation solutions at key customers via internal and external partnerships. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with both the business and technical acumen to develop and accelerate sales of our innovative suite of products. This role will work with regional and S&C leadership as well as the local territory sales personnel to increase touch, call higher, and assist with planning at key accounts. This role in particular will have focus on FirstEnergy, National Grid, and AEP and should be based in proximity to or within relatively easy access to the headquarters of these companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Partnerships



  • Work closely with internal teams and other functions to help define account strategies and prioritize sales initiatives, based on value creation potential and opportunity size
  • Partner with Sales Enablement and Strategic Accounts teams to develop playbooks for different scenarios to move stagnant opportunities forward
  • Facilitate and promote internal and external workshops to discover customers' current and future business capabilities with the goal of identifying, prioritizing, and measuring key business value drivers
  • Identify and share with manufacturing major opportunities to evaluate capacity needs.
  • Support local sales team forecasting efforts.
  • Develop detailed account plans in partnership with the strategic sales team and sales leadership to engage with these customers and grow our revenue
  • Inspire, lead, develop and mentor a high-performing, results driven sales team.


Customer Engagement



  • Work with customer teams including their executive team to understand and solve their business-related challenges and achieve their organization's goals.
  • Partner with S&C Sales leadership and engage with customer executive teams to help articulate the strategic and financial impact that our innovative products and services can deliver to their organizations.
  • Prepare and present provocative and visionary business cases to articulate the value proposition of our Grid Automation solutions and services for CEOs, CXOs/SVP, to support transformational capital investments in our solutions as well as quantify the value realized over time from these investments.
  • Demonstrate account planning experience, including customer outreach ensuring we have customer participation in and feedback to S&C product development.


Strategic Partnerships



  • Identify key players in the ecosystem and develop the relationships to increase market access and/or create unique solutions for our customers
  • Demonstrate technical expertise and interact with customers, local sales team and other S&C team members including product development to understand customer practices and applications thus ensuring that new products are acceptable to our customers.


Thought Leadership



  • Provide thought leadership, training, and consultative partnering with internal sales and other teams
  • Develop creative sales strategies to defend existing business and capture new business.
  • Experience navigating between stakeholders, such as S&C legal and customers to agree on terms and conditions that is at minimum fair and equitable to S&C.
  • Represent S&C at various meetings and conferences as a thought leader to enhance our branding/positioning in the market



What you'll Need To Succeed:



  • 7+ years of professional experience, ideally in sales relating to the power industry and strategic customer-facing roles
  • Demonstrated track record in working with senior executives, principals, and C-suite
  • Mix of business and technical acumen with ability to engage and add value in discussions involving both technology and business strategy
  • Experience in account strategy support, and development and execution of value hypotheses, business cases, and commercial proposals
  • Superb written, verbal, interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • A persuasive influencer who has the ability develop strong customer relationships, to build consensus and momentum towards long-term business solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to derive meaningful insights from large amounts of information and clearly communicate complex ideas to customer senior executives, while handling questions and objections
  • Creative, high-energy, self-starter comfortable leading and executing initiatives and handling conflicting demands creatively and quickly
  • Thrive in working collaboratively and cross-functionally, particularly with Sales, Sales Enablement and Operations & other stakeholders
  • 60% travel required
