Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for a Development FPGA Design Engineer in East Aurora, NY. Moog's Space and Defense Group is the premier motion and flow control solutions provider for the following markets: satellites, human-rated space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, military ground vehicles, naval vessels, and security and surveillance. This is an onsite position focused on the WNY Defense Electrical Group.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering with relevant FPGA/VHDL coursework completed

• 3+ years of experience

• Knowledge of VHDL and ModelSim simulator

• Familiarity with MATLAB and Simulink

• Proficient with simulation, testing and debugging tools and techniques

• Familiarity with logic analyzers, digital oscilloscope, etc.

• Knowledge of interface and network protocols is a plus (ie SPI, I2C, RS-422, RS-485)

• Operate as key element in a team of creative, independent individuals

• Contribute to the development of new products through consulting with customers and Systems Engineers

• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses

• Use VHDL to create FPGA modules with a focus on reusability

• Create and execute verification procedures

• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports
